Finance Council
The purpose of the parish finance council is to advise the pastor in administering the ecclesiastical goods of the parish according to universal and particular law.
The council is composed of at least three members of the Christian faithful, skilled in financial affairs and of outstanding integrity. The members of this council are selected by the pastor and are appointed for a five year term.
Responsibilities: |
Assist the pastor with preparation of parish budget and review the income and expenditure of said budget - Advise the pastor regarding fundraising activities within the parish, feasibility of building projects, acquisition and alienation of parish property, contracts exceeding a given dollar amount. |
