Parish Pastoral Council
The primary goal of the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) is to help every member of the parish grow to the fullness of his or her Christian vocation.
The parish council is separate from the finance committee which has a distinctive agenda concerned with temporalities and administration.
Responsibilities: |
Provide a forum of regular dialogue between the pastor and parishioners to determine the pastoral and spiritual development goals, objectives, and priorities of the parish - evaluate the parish programs in light of those needs, provide communication, coordination, and cooperation between the many organizations within the parish |
This council does not legislate, but rather counsels and advises the pastor in the area of pastoral activities to help identify needs within the parish and to assist him in planning programs or improve services.
