Lectors are lay-individuals who help proclaim the word of God by assisting the Priest with scheduled readings during the liturgy at Sunday Mass, Weekday Masses and Holy Days of Obligation. This important ministry helps lead the parish community by clearly reading the 'Word of God' and leading prayers and responses during worship celebrations.

All Catholics in good standing, that are high school age
or older and unafraid to speak before large crowds
are eligible to serve as lectors.

Those accepting the call to serve as a Lector must have a commitment to the parish community and the Word of God. They must be able to speak clearly before large groups of people.
Training will provide the opportunity for participants to learn the skills necessary for Proclaiming the Word of God well. Besides initial training, Lectors must be willing to attend a yearly retreat or in-service sessions as mandated.

Anyone interested in becoming a 'Lector' is encouraged to contact the Parish Office.
